‘Ralph Breaks the Internet’ is No. 1 for third straight week

Ralph is, once again, at the top of the box office. The Disney sequel has now claimed the top spot for three weeks in a row.

The animated feature film brought in an additional $16.1M in a very quiet weekend. Ralph has now managed to bring in more than $140M domestically in its three weeks of release.

Another cartoon flick came in second as “The Grinch” captured $15.2M over the weekend. Rounding out the top three was “Creed II,” bringing in a little more than $10M.

There really wasn’t any significant competition as no noteworthy film opened this weekend. However, that is all to change in the coming weeks as 2018 will end with some big, high profile films. “Aquaman,” “Bumblebee,” “Mary Poppins Returns,” “Welcome to Marwen” and “Holmes and Watson” will all hit theaters in the next few weeks.
