Sentencing memo for Michael Cohen recommends ‘substantial term of imprisonment’

Things do not look good for Donald Trump’s former and longtime lawyer.

On Friday, prosecutors recommended Michael Cohen get a substantial prison sentence, somewhere in the neighborhood of 42 months and a $100,000 fine.

This recommendation comes after the public was led to believe that Cohen was cooperating with the Mueller investigation.

Last week, Cohen also pleaded guilty to lying to Congress about a Trump real estate deal in Moscow.  He had also pleaded guilty to arraigning illegal payments to two women on behalf of Donald Trump in August.

Cohen is scheduled to be sentenced for his crimes in New York on December 12.
