President Donald Trump and former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson are engaged in a nasty war of words.
Tillerson, who was fired in March, recently sat down with veteran journalist Bob Schieffer. Of course during the interview, the topic of Tillerson’s former boss, President Donald Trump.
Tillerson didn’t mince words. He said that prior to accepting the position of secretary of state he had never met Trump. Tillerson went on to say that Trump is undisciplined, doesn’t like to read, doesn’t read briefings and doesn’t particularly enjoy getting into the details of, well, much of anything.
He also said the working with the president was difficult because, as Tillerson says, they didn’t have a “common value system.” He goes on to say that Trump would often ask them to do things that would be against treaty or against the law.
Tillerson told Schieffer that Trump essentially got tired of him being the one telling Trump “no, you can’t do it that way.”
Of course, President Trump, not one to ever let anything go, decided to fire off a tweet blasting Tillerson.
Mike Pompeo is doing a great job, I am very proud of him. His predecessor, Rex Tillerson, didn’t have the mental capacity needed. He was dumb as a rock and I couldn’t get rid of him fast enough. He was lazy as hell. Now it is a whole new ballgame, great spirit at State!

Just a reminded that President Trump’s insults toward his former secretary of state is coming from a man who would often brag about only having the best, brightest people in his administration.
