Liberals are losing their minds over how President Trump behaved at President George H.W. Bush’s funeral. Everything from Trump’s posture to the way they greeted Bill and Hillary Clinton has been scrutinized.
Now, they’re up in arms because neither President or First Lady Melania Trump recited the Apostles’ Creed from their program.
This is your "Christian" evangelical president. pic.twitter.com/u0478FoSyR

Striking that all the former Presidents and First Ladies recited the Apostles Creed, but Trump and Melania stood silently and did not. The creeds are at the heart of historic orthodox Christianity

Does it bother anyone else that President Trump is standing with his arms folded, silent, while the rest of the congregation recites the Apostles Creed? Can he not affirm the faith expressed in the Creed? #Bush41 pic.twitter.com/HnpTw7lw6R

This is shameful for a Christian who refuses to say the Apostles Creed. I told you he's playing like he is a Christian just to get Christians to support him. Shameful but he don't fool me, he won't get my support. https://t.co/yW2vLfX4xU

It’s SO weird that Barack Obama (the “Muslim”) knew all the words to the Apostles’ Creed, and Donald Trump (the Evangelical hero) didn’t know any of them, and didn’t even bother to read them. #GeorgeHWBushFuneral

I’ve gone to church all my life and we never recite this prayer in any of our church services. In fact, I had to look it up to even remember what it said. Maybe it’s more common in traditional churches than in Evangelical services?
However, the Trump family is not particularly religious. Neither were the Obamas. I don’t really care if any of them recite it at a funeral, although if I was on a national stage like President and Mrs. Trump, I’d probably follow along to avoid scrutiny just like this.
