Actress Lena Dunham admits lying to cover for ‘Girls’ writer accused of rape

Actress Lena Dunham is a super liberal celebrity, meaning that if there’s a cause and social justice warrior points to score from it, you’ll probably find Ms. Dunham all over it.

Well, Ms. self-righteous super SJW Dunham finds herself in a bit of water water and it’s all by her own doing.

As you may or may not know, Dunham came to fame as a result of the HBO drama “Girls,” which she starred in, created and wrote. Now, last year a writer for Dunham’s show, Murray Miller, was accused of raping a woman back in 2012.

Knowing, what you know about Dunham, you’d have expected her to stick up for the woman who came forward to talk about her alleged sexual assault. Well, not so fast.

Dunham tried to discredit the woman, stating that what the woman claiming happened never actually happened. Instead, Dunham issued a statement at the time and said she had “insider information” about the incident, going on to say the “accusation is one of the 3 percent of assault cases that are misreported every year.”

Well, now Ms. Dunham is admitting that she in fact lied and really had no more information of the incident than you or I.

Dunham, in an essay to The Hollywood Reporter said “I didn’t have the ‘insider information’ I claimed but rather blind faith in a story that kept slipping and changing and revealed itself to mean nothing at all.”

But hey, she’s a female and a liberal in Hollywood, this episode is likely only to help her career prospects.
