The Oscars has their host and it’s funnyman Kevin Hart.
Hart announced the news on his Instagram page:
The biggest award show in the world of film, the 91st Oscars, is set for Feb. 24 on ABC. Hart takes over for fellow comedian and late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel who has played host for the last two years.
Hart should make for an infinitely better host than Kimmel. Hart is of course funny, and rarely gets political, but with it being the Oscars, the chances that he won’t get political, are next to none.
Hosting the Oscars is probably the only thing in Hollywood Hart has yet to do. One of the biggest names in comedy, Hart is in a new movie nearly every month. In the last couple years, Hart has starred in “Night School,” “Jumaji: Welcome to the Jungle,” “Ride Along 2” and “Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie.”
