Colts expected to lose TE Jack Doyle for season

Despite not playing their best game on Sunday, the Colts were still able to get the win against the Miami Dolphins. Sunday’s win continues the Colts’ impressive win streak, with now five games in a row.

Since starting the season 1-5, the Colts are now 6-5 and are in position to sneak into the playoffs. During their streak, Andrew Luck has also played incredibly well, now having thrown at least three touchdowns in eight consecutive games.

A big part of the Colts offensive success has been their ability to throw it to the tight end. Well, it appears the Colts will have to look for another weapon as ESPN is reporting that Colts TE Jack Doyle is likely done for the season.

The Indianapolis born Doyle suffered a kidney injury in Sunday’s win, spending Sunday night in the hospital.

As big a blow as this is to the Colts, it’s all about the next man up. Who will step up?

On the season, Doyle has 26 receptions and two touchdowns.

The Colts are currently in second place in the AFC South, behind the 7-3 Houston Texans.
