Ralph is back in “Ralph Breaks the Internet” and moviegoers took notice, making it the top film at this weekend’s box office. The Disney animated sequel took in an impressive $56M over the weekend, hauling in more than $84M over the five-day holiday weekend.
Another sequel, “Creed II,” finished in second place with a $35.5M take over the weekend. Over the complete, five-day weekend, the flick brought in nearly $59M.
Elsewhere, this weekend’s other big release, “Robin Hood,” starring Taron Egerton and Jamie Foxx absolutely bombed. It only managed to score $9M over the weekend, with a paltry $14.1M over the five-day holiday weekend. It finished the weekend’s box office in an embarrassing seventh place.
Ralph should keep a tight grip on next weekend’s box office and cause more havoc as nothing noteworthy opens next weekend.
