2014’s “The Lego Movie” is easily one of the most clever and witty films to come out in the last few years. It’s one of those rare films that is able to entertain the kiddos and at the same time adequately keep the adults in the audience interested and invested. If you haven’t seen it, you really must check it out. The writing truly is top notch.
As such, and in keeping with Holllywood’s tradition of running something into the ground until it’s no longer profitable. Since 2014, there has been the marginally entertaining “The Lego Batman Movie” and the inferior “The Lego Ninjago Movie, both released in 2017.
Next year, we get back to the original Lego characters with the next chapter in the Warner Bros. produced series as “The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part” hits theaters Feb. 8, 2019.
The film features the voices of Chris Pratt, Margot Robbie, Jonah Hill and Alison Brie.
