On Monday, it was revealed that Ivanka Trump used a personal email account to communicate about official government business with White House officials and Cabinet members, apparently sending hundreds of emails.
Many of those emails are said to be in violation of federal records rules. Now, South Carolina Representative Trey Gowdy is looking for information about Ivanka’s email situation.
He has already reached out to the White House requesting information. The chairman of Committee on Oversight and Government Reform has also set a Dec. 5 deadline for a response from the White House.
You’ll remember Gowdy was really the Republican who led the charge against Hillary Clinton when her emails were being investigating. Due to the extensive nature to which Clinton’s email were talked about by anybody and everybody, it only makes sense to look into Ivanka’s email situation.
Besides, if there really is no issue with her emails, what is the harm in simply looking into them? Gowdy, if he didn’t call for the information, would not be doing his job.
Now, I understand that diehard Trump supporters will be screaming and yelling that none of Ivanka’s emails contained classified information. Maybe they didn’t, but, again, I ask what is the harm into looking into the situation?
