Republican Rick Scott wins US Senate seat in Florida, Bill Nelson concedes

We finally, finally know who won two big races in Florida.

Florida Governor Rick Scott will become the next US senator from the Sunshine State. This comes after Democrat Bill Nelson reportedly called Scott to concede Sunday.

Tallies from Florida’s recount showed that Scott was leading Nelson by more than 10,000 votes.

Since the Nov. 6 election, Florida has been getting a ton of attention after there was machine recount, for which the deadline was Thursday at 3 p.m. However, two counties, including the much-talked about Broward County missed the deadline.

A hand recount was then ordered with the deadline being noon on Sunday.

On Saturday, Florida learned who won their race for governor as Democrat Andrew Gillum  conceded to Republican Ron DeSantis.
