Nina Burleigh, a writer for the magazine Newsweek, posted a tweet yesterday supporting the extreme gun control measures California Congressman Eric Swalwell proposed in an op-ed for USA Today.
In her tweet, she writes, “Almost every single person I’ve ever heard of with an AR-15 has been a mass murderer. Based on Twitter sample the rest of them are scarily paranoid. Get on the right side of history
@DLoesch @Rambobiggs #gunsense”
As you can imagine, people let her have it.
Montana is a good place to find normal not mass murderers who all own a gun.

Of about 6 million AR-15's in the US,only about a dozen have been used to cause harm.Any other product with such a record would get the Good Housekeeping seal of approval.

I suggest you actually ask your friends…do you own a gun? Do you own an AR-15? You really might be surprised who owns one but doesn’t find it necessary to keep you in the loop. If you have none, you need to get out more. Millions of us own them, and few have used them to kill

One of the most idiotic statements I’ve ever read. If We the People were the issue, you’d know it. Instead, millions of us are responsible rifle owners. We love our families, we love our country and yes, we love our Inalienable right to keep and bear arms. Including AR’s.

There are an estimated 15 million AR-15s in this country alone. Where are all of these millions and millions of mass murders taking place? https://t.co/LiEcJzJau2

My husband and I own three AR-15’s. We’ve never been arrested for anything in our 45 years on this planet. We exercise extreme safety when handling and securing our firearms, as do the majority of responsible gun owners. You have no idea what the hell you are talking about. https://t.co/0gZ0uxut3a

Nina might also want to check out some crime statistics before tweeting stupid opinions. Handguns are actually used in more crimes than the AR-15.
Gun owners might be paranoid, but why shouldn’t they be when you have a congressmen suggesting the government nuke them if they won’t voluntarily give up their rightfully owned weapons?
And it would be a short war my friend. The government has nukes. Too many of them. But they’re legit. I’m sure if we talked we could find common ground to protect our families and communities.
