Trump’s wild claims about voter fraud

The President is known for Tweeting or speaking before he thinks. It’s his worst quality but his die hard supporters eat it up, never bothering to fact check anything he says and taking everything at face value.

The latest absurd comments came amid the vote count mess in Florida. President Trump told The Daily Caller that “When people get in line that have absolutely no right to vote and they go around in circles. Sometimes they go to their car, put on a different hat, put on a different shirt, come in and vote again. Nobody takes anything. It’s really a disgrace what’s going on.”

Come on. Really?? That is absolutely absurd and there’s absolutely nothing to back that claim up and is nothing more than a ridiculous conspiracy theory to get his base riled up.

He’s also been insinuating that elections officials are trying to find enough votes to defeat Rick Scott.

It is true that the way the vote reporting has been handed is a mess, and as the details emerge, appears to be handled illegally. After all, Broward County Elections Supervisor has tampered with ballots before and is probably doing it again. Trump is right to say that she’s a “disgrace” and should be fired.

But that doesn’t mean people are changing clothes in their cars to cast illegal votes. It’s required by Florida law to show an ID with a signature before you can cast a vote. Otherwise, you have to cast a provisional ballot and if someone doesn’t think the signatures match, you’re out of luck.
