Kellyanne Conway’s husband forms new anti-Trump law group

This seems like a conflict of interest.

George Conway, the husband of President Trump’s senior White House counselor  Kellyanne Conway, has formed a new group of conservative anti-Trump lawyers.  The group is named Checks and Balances and their mission statement says:

“We believe in the rule of law, the power of truth, the independence of the criminal justice system, the imperative of individual rights and the necessity of civil discourse. We believe these principles apply regardless of the party or persons in power.”

According to the Daily Mail, Kellyanne told Fox News that her husband’s criticism of the President doesn’t affect her job. “It doesn’t affect me or my job at all,’ she said. ‘I’ve never been doing better personally or professionally. People argue about the Constitution every day. That’s why we have the United States Supreme Court. That’s why we have an entire U.S. circuit court system.”

But some people think he’s simply just embarrassing his wife.

Fox News host Mark Levin, Tweeted “Apparently you believe in publicly humiliating your wife, moron.”

George Conway isn’t new to criticizing his wife’s boss, often Tweeting articles painting him in an unfavorable light as well as writing op-eds that criticize the President’s policies.
