Ashton Kutcher calls for gun reform in Tweet storm

That 70s show actor Ashton Kutcher is understandably upset over the shooting in Thousand Oaks, California. Earlier this year, his wife threw him a birthday party at the same bar where the incident happened.

Kutcher took to Twitter to vent his frustrations and call for gun control.

The thing is, gun control would not have stopped this. California has some of the strictest gun laws in the United States. We’ve learned since the incident took place that the shooter legally obtained his weapon but illegally modified his magazine.

He was known to police and according to USA Today, law enforcement was called to his home to settle a domestic dispute, where he was “somewhat irate and acting irrationally.” A mental health crisis team concluded he didn’t need to be taken into custody at the time.

They COULD have used the gun violence restraining order but they didn’t.

When will people realize that the problem runs deeper than a weapon?
