Greg Pence, brother of VP Mike Pence, elected to Congress

There will be another Pence from Indiana in the House of Representatives.

Republican Greg Pence, the brother of Vice President Mike Pence, won election Tuesday night.

The older Pence actually won what was once his younger brother’s congressional seat in Indiana’s 6th Congressional District.

The Republican is projected to have defeated Democrat Jeannine Lee Lake.

This win really is not a surprise, Indiana’s 6th Congressional District is solidly red. Pence will replace outgoing Congressman Luke Messer, who gave up his seat in order to run for US Senate.

Messer, of course, was defeated by businessman Mike Braun in Indiana’s May primary.
