This is nothing new in the music world – an artist finds out a politician he or she doesn’t like is using one of their songs at a campaign rally and they get mad.
Phillip Rucker, the White House Bureau Chief at The Washington Post and a political Analyst for MSNBC & NBC News tweeted that “Don’t Stop the Music” has been playing at recent Trump rallies and it’s very much like a sporting event atmosphere.
It’s been said a million times, but here’s a million and one — Trump’s rallies are unlike anything else in politics. Currently, Rihanna’s “Don’t Stop the Music” is blaring in Chattanooga as aides toss free Trump T-shirts into the crowd, like a ball game. Everyone’s loving it.

RiRi got wind of it and added her two cents on her own Twitter page.
“Not for much longer…me nor my people would ever be at or around one of those tragic rallies, so thanks for the heads up Philip!” she posted.

Guns N’ Roses lead singer Axl Rose also chimed in saying that the campaign is “is using loopholes in the various venues’ blanket performance licenses which were not intended for such craven political purposes, without the songwriters’ consent.”
Unfortunately the Trump campaign is using loopholes in the various venues’ blanket performance licenses which were not intended for such craven political purposes, without the songwriters’ consent.
