The NBA season is set to get underway this week. The Paces will begin their 82-game campaign Wednesday evening at Bankers Life Fieldhouse against the the Memphis Grizzlies. However, before the players laced ’em up for a game that counts, the Pacers took care of a little bit of business.
The Pacers inked the four-year pro, power forward Myles Turner to a generous 4-year, $80 million extension. Before signing the extension, Turner was set to become a restricted free agent next offseason.

For his career, Turner has averages of 12.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game. The Pacers are hoping to keep their core of Turner, Victor Oladipo, Domantas Sabonis and veteran Thaddeus Young together for several more years.
As the team gets set to kick off the 2018-2019 season, the will be looking to build off of last season, where they surprised the entire league by making it into the playoffs as a fifth seed and pushing the Lebron James led Cavaliers to a seventh game in the first round of the playoffs.
