Jamie Lee Curtis says she’s pro-2A but there’s a catch

Actress Jamie Lee Curtis is firing back at Fox News after they criticized the “Halloween” actress for starring in movies where her character uses guns when in real life she’s outspoken on gun control.

Curtis posted a Tweet earlier this year of a paper target and appeared to be at a range practicing for the new Halloween movie.

Fox News points out that “in light of several high-profile mass shootings, Curtis has voiced her support for gun reform legislation. But she’s also appeared in films such as “True Lies,” “Virus,” “Halloween II” and “Blue Steel” where she uses firearms multiple times.”

Curtis says in an interview with USA Today, she fully supports the Second Amendment, but “I am vocal about common-sense gun safety and gun laws,” she says. “For instance, I fully support an assault weapon ban, I fully support a bump stock ban.”

To Curtis, those things don’t make her anti-gun. “I fully support the Bill of Rights. And fully support the Second Amendment. And have absolutely no problem with people owning firearms if they have been trained, licensed, a background check has been conducted, a pause button has been pushed to give time for that process to take place. And they have to renew their license just like we do with automobiles – which are weapons also.”

Hmmm. Well if Curtis fully supported 2A, then she wouldn’t be advocating for the banning of weapons that don’t actually exist (assault weapons is a made up term by the media) and accessories that anyone can make at home with a belt (bump stocks).

The right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed. Did you miss that part, Jamie?

Have to agree with Fox News on this one – Curtis absolutely looks like a hypocrite and doesn’t really seem to know much about guns or the Second Amendment. Instead she just regurgitates the usual liberal anti-gun talking points.
