Audiences apparently weren’t feeling Michael Moore’s latest flick, “11/9.” The Democratic socialist’s film, with a title referring to the day after Trump’s election, takes a look at the current state of America. According to the dismal box office numbers, most people weren’t interested.
Moore’s film was only able to bring in a paltry $3M. It had been expected to bring in more than double of that figure, somewhere in the neighborhood of $6 and $8M. Much like the question Moore asks in the film, studios that sunk any money in Moore’s debacle are probably asking themselves, ‘How the f**k did we get here, and how the f**k do we get out?’
However, the documentarian, whose other films have championed gun control, socialism and Cuba’s healthcare system, doesn’t seem to understand that his film is crashing and burning, inexplicably tweeting:
