Documentaries can be deceiving because they only tell you what the filmmaker wants you to see. Netflix’s new documentary Reversing Roe is no exception. Watch the trailer below.
Released on Sept. 13th, Roe is according to Netflix, “intense and unflinching in its commitment to telling the whole story, REVERSING ROE provides a gripping look at what’s happening on the ground in 2018. Drawing from a wealth of historical footage, it charts the period leading up to the Roe decision—and documents the opposition that has followed ever since.”
But shouldn’t the whole story include interviews from people on the pro-life side? Their views are important as well. In fact, the film makers stated that very thing in an interview last year, saying “I think our goal with the film is to ask those same questions and to learn and to listen to what the two sides on this issue feel and are fighting for.”
According to Newsbusters, many top pro-life leaders were interviewed and former Planned Parenthood director Abby Johnson said on Twitter that the filmmakers spent several days with her, yet didn’t use any of the footage.

Also cut were interviews from the March for Life President Jeanne Mancini and Destiny Herndon-De La Rosa, founder of New Wave Feminists.
.@k_yoder and @March_for_Life President @jeannemfl – whose interview was CUT from the Netflix abortion documentary – will join @EWTN #ProLife Weekly this Thursday night to discuss the film's disingenuous portrayal of the pro-life movement. https://t.co/j3dvOeGEVM

MCR Newsbusters counted and only one pro-life interview made the cut – National Right to Life President Carol Tobias. By comparison, thirteen pro-choice women appeared in Reversing Roe.
Not a very balanced take and just another example of a propaganda piece aimed at furthering the liberal pro-abortion agenda.
