Fox News has released a new poll on the Indiana Senate race that gives Republican Mike Braun a slight edge over incumbent Democrat Joe Donnelly.
The poll, which came out today, shows that 45 percent of likely voters would currently vote for Braun, while 43 percent would vote for Donnelly. There is a 3.5 percent margin of error within the poll, so those results essentially mean that the race is a close one, with the candidates virtually tied.
The important voters to win over will be the 8 percent that say they are undecided as well as the 3 percent who responded that they would vote for Libertarian candidate Lucy Brenton.
President Donald Trump has been on the campaign trail for Mike Braun, making a stop in Evansville, Indiana just a few weeks ago. Donnelly’s seat has been viewed as one that Republicans believe they can flip in the upcoming November elections.
The first debate in which all three candidates will participate will be held on Oct. 8.
