Cory Booker has consistently been mentioned as a possible Democratic candidate for president in 2020. Well, the New Jersey senator’s latest move is a big indicator of his future plans.
Booker recently placed staffers in Iowa to help candidates in the Hawkeye state. Not only will this help his name recognition, it’s also the beginnings of a ground game, which every candidate needs in order to be successful. In addition to putting staffers in the Midwestern state, Booker is also scheduled to headline a big Iowa Democrat dinner.
Iowa is basically a launching pad for anyone and everyone with aspirations of occupying the White House.
Combine all of this new information with Booker’s repeated grandstanding and “look at me” moments during the Brett Kavanaugh hearings and anyone with any kind of intelligence can tell Booker is, at the very least, considering a presidential run.
Who knows, perhaps Booker will be able to have another “I am Spartacus” moment or two.
