The Democrats say they really, really want to take back the White House. In case you haven’t been able to tell, they aren’t such big fans of President Trump. So, expect every Democratic candidate with any national name recognition to at least explore the possibility.
First off, let’s name those who are obviously positioning themselves for 2020:
Liberal loon favorites Elizabeth Warren and Bernie “I’ve never heard of a comb” Sanders. Slightly less crazy and liberal Kamala Harris, Corey Booker and Kristen Gillenbrand.
Then there are other less obvious candidates, but those who have at least hinted at the possibility of a run for the White House: former Vice President Joe Biden and former Attorney General Eric “Fast and Furious” Holder.
However, after this past weekend there is another name to add to that mix, one failed candidate, previously nominated by the Democrats: Former Secretary of State John Kerry.
If the Dems are dumb enough to nominate Kerry again, Trump will be assured of another four years in the White House. Kerry couldn’t beat President Bush when the Iraq War was unpopular and the economy wasn’t terrific.
But then again Hillary Clinton was the choice for the Democratic nominee last go around, so who knows.
