BREAKING: President Trump considering regulating Google’s search results

Responding to tweets from the President saying that Google search results are “rigged”, White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow told press on Tuesday that President Donald Trump is considering regulations on Google’s search engine because he’s concerned that it turns up too many stories that are critical of him.

A Google spokesperson told ABC:

“When users type queries into the Google Search bar, our goal is to make sure they receive the most relevant answers in a matter of seconds,” the spokesperson said in a statement. “Search is not used to set a political agenda and we don’t bias our results toward any political ideology.

“We continually work to improve Google Search and we never rank search results to manipulate political sentiment,” the spokesperson added.

No matter what political party – this kind of talk should scare you. Regulating a privately owned company in that manner is not only a major government overreach but it’s also trying to limit free press and control what you want the people to read about you.

Not a good look for President Trump.
