Rev. Al Sharpton was lecturing President Trump on his MSNBC TV show “PoliticsNation” but when wrapping up the segment, made a embarrassing error when quoting the late Aretha Franklin’s best known hit, “Respect.”
Watch the video below.
“So in the words of my late friend Aretha Franklin, show some R-E-S-P-I-C-T, and the next time you get a black woman and a beagle confused, remember this: I got you,” Sharpton said.
Hey Al, what the heck is “R-E-S-P-I-C-T”?
Obviously he wasn’t that great of friends with Ms. Franklin or he’s been hearing a completely different song than the rest of us. In the original lyrics, Franklin can clearly be heard spelling out the word “respect.”
How embarrassing.
