Recently, Pope Francis dropped a Tweet stating “Do we really want peace? Then let’s ban all weapons so we don’t have to live in fear of war.”

Sounds like the Pope needs to pick up his Bible and do a little reading because until Jesus comes back, we’re going to have wars.
Matthew 24: 4 – 7, “And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.”
Right there, plain as day. Does the Pope not read his Bible?
Religion aside, this is an extremely broad statement. What does he mean by weapons? Guns? Knives? Bombs? Spears? A screwdriver? Almost anything can be made into a weapon and people have been warring with each other since the beginning of time, using the crudest of weapons and fashioning them out of stone and wood.
The Pope is missing the point of Christianity with this Tweet. Only God can end war and change the hearts of men. And it’s sad that a religious world leader doesn’t know that.
