Sometimes reality is stranger than fiction. For instance, liberal Bill Maher defending conservative Laura Ingraham.
Over the weekend, the ‘Real Time’ host came out against the proposed advertising boycott Laura Ingraham’s television program.
Some quick background on the whole issue: Ingraham tweeted out a message essentially mocking Hogg after he said was rejected by several colleges. Hogg retaliated by calling for advertisers to drop the Ingraham show.
Of course, several companies capitulated to the 17-year-old. But Fox News put out a message saying they were staying with Ingraham despite the hullabaloo.
Anyway, Maher essentially said Friday night that despite what Ingraham said, she still has the right to do so, with the First Amendment and all. He goes on to make the same argument that many have been making since the whole thing started. David Hogg has the right to be heard just as much as Laura Ingraham does just as much as Joe Scarborough or Rachel Maddow does.
Almost on cue and as expected the other three members of Maher’s panel vehemently disagree with the host.
Gotta wonder how they would feel if someone tried to silence them?
