The announcement, which comes 980 days before the election, isn’t too surprising. President Trump filed paperwork shortly after his inauguration and has held several campaign rallies in the past year.
Brad Parscale, the 2020 Campaign Manager, has worked with Trump long before the 2016 campaign, serving as a digital marketing strategist with the Trump Organization and then later with the 2016 campaign.
According to the 2020 Campaign site, Parscale will also be active in mid-term elections this year by endorsing and supporting GOP candidates.
The President has yet to tweet about it, instead focusing his tweets today on Russian collusion.
The official statement can be found on the Trump campaign site.
