Oscar winning actress Jennifer Lawrence has decided to take a year off acting to focus on fixing America.
“I’m going to be working with this organization as a part of Represent. Us … trying to get young people engaged politically on a local level. It doesn’t have anything to do with partisan (politics). It’s just anti-corruption and stuff trying to pass state-by-state laws that can help prevent corruption, fix our democracy.”
Lawrence also serves on the board of Represent. Us, supposedly a non-partisan group that “represents a broad political spectrum, from progressives to Tea Party conservatives.”
The creative council doesn’t seem to have a lot of conservative names listed, though.
Over the last few years, Lawrence gotten increasingly political, just last month participating in the Women’s March and posting this photo on her Facebook with the caption:

I wonder if Lawrence has ever considered that people are tired of this kind of thing from Hollywood? Her box office performance has been steadily dropping since The Hunger Games wrapped up. Maybe people just want her to stick to what she’s best at – acting.
