An Indiana University Health nurse has been fired after tweeting some pretty disturbing things about white men.
The nurse, who was identified as Taiyesha Baker, deleted the account shortly after the tweet went viral and IU Health issued this statement:
“IU Health is aware of several troubling posts on social media which appear to be from a recently hired IU Health employee. Our HR department continues to investigate the situation and the authenticity of the posts. During the investigation, that employee (who does not work at Riley Hospital for Children) will have no access to patient care.”
IU definitely took the right course of action because while people certainly have freedom of speech, there ARE consequences to what you say on social media or in public. Especially since someone with such an obvious racist mindset is caring for people in life or death situations and that prejudice could impact how they care for a patient.
Sadly, this kind of mindset is becoming more prominent with the third wave feminism crowd. Just last week Emily Lindin, an award winning documentary filmmaker tweeted that she didn’t care if innocent men went to jail over sexual assault accusations.
Here's an unpopular opinion: I'm actually not at all concerned about innocent men losing their jobs over false sexual assault/harassment allegations.

And more importantly: The benefit of all of us getting to finally tell the truth + the impact on victims FAR outweigh the loss of any one man's reputation.

Sorry. If some innocent men's reputations have to take a hit in the process of undoing the patriarchy, that is a price I am absolutely willing to pay.

Instead of a so-called “War on Women” it appear to me that there’s a very real “War on White Men” and it’s raging in full force from the feminist camp.
